Bay Bridge Village Neighbors –
Quick update on the entrance project as of 4/16
-
The 4/11 work day was a big success. Thank you to everyone who donated time and labor. We got a ton done in one day.
-
Thanks to the generous donations, we were able to rent a mini skid steer and dig all the post holes. That saved a huge amount of time and effort.
-
We used PVC fence boards. They are durable, do not need paint, and should hold up for a long time.
-
Plants and mulch were also completed.
-
We raised enough to cover the full project and still have funds for summer lawn mowing (starting this week or next), plus a contingency for future fence issues.
Because of the progress, the planned work day on 4/18 is no longer needed. We have been waiting on the posts to dry out (they were stored outdoors and were waterlogged), and we already have volunteers lined up to paint them soon.
Thank you again to everyone who contributed, whether by donating or showing up to work. It’s really cool to see the community come together to take care of our neighborhood.

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has"
- Margaret Mead
